Meet the team

Managing Director
Clare Larkin-Sykes
BE (Hons, Class 1), GDipAppFin (Sec Inst), MAusIMM, GAICD, Churchill Fellow
Clare Larkin-Sykes is a leading advocate for change in the resources and energy sectors and aligns with organisations focussed on a clean energy future. She is an experienced mining engineer and strategist and has shaped her career to lead and collaborate across various complex multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Clare has directed an impressive portfolio of multi-stakeholder initiatives including resource technology and decarbonisation roadmaps, industry cluster development, and challenge-based innovation programs. She has worked across government and listed companies and brings with her an extensive industry network and a broad perspective on future resources and energy value chains.
Clare sits across several industry boards including the Newcastle Institute of Energy & Resources (NIER) Advisory Board, the NSW Independent Planning Commission (IPC), the NSW Decarbonisation Innovation Hub, the Hunter Hydrogen Taskforce and is the current Chair of the Resources NSW Board (an initiative of NSW Energy & Resources Knowledge Hub - ERKH), and co-lead NewH2 – Hunter Hydrogen Technology Cluster.

Tamsin Martin
BSc (Hons), MEEM (Distinction), MEM (Distinction), Cert II (Distinction) in Bush Regeneration
Tamsin Martin is a highly motivated and effective results-driven consultant, combining deep technical expertise with inspiring leadership, communication and negotiation abilities. With two Masters qualifications in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Management along with an Honours BSc in Resource and Environmental Management, Tamsin has a strong educational background as well as skills in strategic thinking, stakeholder relationships, and project management.
Over her more than 15 years’ experience in local and state government, Tamsin has a demonstrated track record in delivery and leadership, environmental planning, sustainability, reform and business development, achieving strategic objectives, program evaluation; enterprise risk, networking and industry liaison.

Lucy McClean
BSc (Hons, Class 1), Dip Business (Governance), FAusIMM, FICDA, GAICD, WIM100
Lucy McClean is a passionate advocate and leader in the resources industry, first starting over 25 years ago in a resources exploration company. Over her career, Lucy has been a pioneer in ESG (environment, social/community, governance), champion of diversity and inclusion and has had extensive experience in advocacy, policy and strategy across multiple sectors in energy and resources.
Working across government, industry and community, she has expansive national and international connections. Lucy has initiated, led and delivered important industry benchmark documentation and strategic advice. She has been the voice for industry and has been solving problems, contributing to strategy and providing advice for decades.
Lucy received international recognition in 2022 as one of ‘100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining’ (WIM100) and in 2023 she was named as Inclusion and Diversity Champion in the Australian National Women in Resources Awards and the NSW Women in Mining Awards.

Lucy is Immediate Past Chair of Women in Mining NSW (WIMnet NSW) and has experience across Ministerial and Government Advisory boards.
